Chiptuning, much more than just boosting power
Many people think that reprogramming is limited to a Stage 1 or e85 conversion. In reality, it encompasses many other possibilities for adapting the car to the driver's preferences. It's perfectly possible to add options without affecting the engine's power.
Before going into detail about the options, let's look at the main levels of reprogramming:
- Stage 0: No increase in power, often linked to the addition of options.
- Stage 1: Modification of engine mapping.
- Stages 2 and 3: More extensive modifications, generally including mechanical changes.
- Higher stages: Even more advanced reprogramming, depending on requirements and the installation of performance parts on the vehicle.
Important information: When you make an engine reprogramming, stage 1, stage 2, stage 3, Flex, Flex+ or even for options, you may lose the manufacturer's warranty. This is an important factor to consider before embarking on a performance adventure.

Options available in our catalogue
VMAX OFF
Allows you to increase or completely remove the vehicle's maximum speed limit, offering total freedom in terms of top speed.
Start & Stop OFF
Deactivates the Start & Stop system to prevent the engine from cutting out when stationary, eliminating any latency when restarting. There's no need to press the button when you start the vehicle - it's deactivated as standard.
Power on Driving Mode (Sport Button)
The power boost is only active when Sport mode is activated.
Sport Display
Adapts the display of values shown on the on-board computer (horsepower, torque, etc.) to the vehicle's new performance.
Hard Rev Cut
Commonly known as a "breaker", this allows the engine to continue up to maximum speed without limiting power. However, on some diesel (and even petrol) vehicles, this type of option can damage the timing chains.
Pop & Bang
Creates a detonation in the exhaust when the throttle is released. only to be used with a sport catalytic converter or downpipe, as it can affect engine reliability.
Pop & Bang Sport Button
Activates Pop & Bang only when the vehicle is in Sport mode.
DSG Farts
Adds a slight audible pop when changing gear, available on certain vehicles.
Exhaust Flaps
Opens the exhaust valve flaps 100% in Sport mode, as opposed to the original partial opening.
Cylinder On Demand OFF
Deactivates the Cylinder On Demand (COD) system, which adjusts the number of cylinders according to demand.
Launch Control
Maintains optimum engine speed during start-up, for perfect acceleration.
Cold Start OFF
Deactivates the cold start system for a more discreet start.
Swirl Flap OFF
Deactivates the Swirl Flap, which swirls the air around the intake flaps.
Vmax Adaptation
Adapts the maximum speed, for example for a specific clamping.
Octane Adaptation
Adjusts octane for countries where fuel quality may be inferior.
How much do these options cost?
Prices vary according to the complexity of the operation and the compatibility with the vehicle. Here are a few examples:
- Option only (e.g. Start & Stop deactivation): Approximately €199.
- Sport Display: Approximately €200.
- Complete Stage 1 reprogramming on a Golf GTI: €659 (including certain basic options).
In a nutshell!
Reprogramming a vehicle is not just about increasing power. There are numerous options for adapting the car to your driving style, improving comfort and optimizing performance. However, some modifications can affect the manufacturer's warranty. So it's essential to get the facts right before taking the plunge.
