BMW 335i being prepared as a Drift car

Drifting is all about passion, precision and adrenalin. To bring such a project to fruition, you need people who live and breathe the sport. That's the case with Sofianne from Brothers Custom, an Elite driver in the French Drifting Championship (CFD) for over 10 years. Médéric and Sofianne already knew each other, and after seeing so many rounds of the championship, they decided to work together on a joint project.

Behind this ambitious project is the entire ShifTech team, made up of people with a passion for mechanics and boardsports, as well as communication and marketing specialists. Together, we're working hand in hand to create something extraordinary.

For those of you who haven't seen this BMW E92 335i yet, Sofianne picked it up from BK Custom to present it to us and give us an idea of what our final project might look like. The car was prepared by DK Custom, which makes one every year for sale.

Our motivation is simple: to take part in the drifting championship with a car that not only performs well, but also represents our passion for mechanics and our determination to always go further. The drifting championship in France is a demanding competition, and we needed a car that lived up to those high standards. That's why we decided to give this BMW 335i a new lease of life and turn it into a beast of competition, ready to take on the country's best drivers.

Transforming this BMW E92 335i into a true drift machine is no mean feat. Our main objective is to create a car capable of competing with the best in the championship. One of the most interesting discussions surrounding this project was the choice of engine. Should we stay true to BMW by using a modern BMW engine, or opt for a more exotic option, such as Toyota's famous 2JZ?

In the end, we opted for a BMW B58 engine, which combines modernity and power, while remaining true to the brand's DNA.

To prepare our BMW, we had to put together a team. The elite brigade of the ShifTech Tours section got involved, including members of the communications and marketing departments. Everyone contributed their bit, and this adventure became a joint project, creating real team cohesion in the process.

This project is not just a technical feat, it's also a human adventure. To demonstrate the strength of our team, we took on the challenge of dismantling the car in just two hours. This challenge was met not only by the mechanics, but also by the entire marketing and technical team. This kind of activity is a real team-building exercise that allows us to strengthen our cohesion and our shared commitment.

The next stages of the project will be hydro-stripping the bodywork and preparing it for the next stages. We also plan to work with specialist partners (and that could be you) to help us prepare the car in the best possible way.
